Rebuilding Notre Dame de Paris

Rebuilding Notre Dame de Paris

Nearly one year after a fire ravaged Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the Alliance Française is generating support for its rebuild with a not to be missed lecture featuring acclaimed professor of medieval literature at Yale University, Professor Howard Bloch.

Professor Bloch, a Sterling Professor of French at Yale, is recognized nationally and internationally as a specialist of medieval literature. He has published a number of books and is presently working on one related to cathedrals in and around Paris.

The lecture will feature a discussion on the rebuilding of Notre Dame and bring to light the challenges involved in bringing back to its former glory an eight hundred and fifty year-old medieval cathedral. Professor Bloch will address these issues and share his insight and expertise. At the conclusion of the lecture, Professor Bloch will entertain questions from the audience.
