Summer 2020 - Children & Teens - Summer session non-Francophones
Description:
Summer session for children and teens
1.5 hours per week for 8 weeks, 12 hours of French.
The Summer session consolidates language skills learned throughout the year. Emphasis is placed on oral expression; students will learn
French through role-play and other games, as well as through French language media such as films, songs, and cartoons.
July 6th - August 28th: Classes starting at 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, or 4:00 PM, lessons taking place between Monday and
Friday, depending on students' age and level.
As non-native French speakers, my husband and I send our children to the AFW, so they can immerse themselves in the French language and
culture. We also realize the importance of mastering a second language in today’s world. It’s amazing to see how their proficiency in the
language has grown and most importantly, their genuine love and interest in French. You can guess who they were rooting for during World
Cup 2018!
I believe the online platform works really well, and I am excited to see that online courses will be offered in the summer.
In terms of the spring online semester, my daughter Anna has been extremely engaged, the lessons have been impactful, and she has truly been
enjoying the interaction.
Thank you for all that you do with the class!
My daughter Stella really enjoyed the online class she had over the last few weeks. Aurélie was a wonderful teacher and Stella had a great
time beginning to explore the French language. Thanks!
